OCIA

Order of Christian Initiation of Adults (OCIA)

The Order of Christian Initiation of Adults is for those who believe God is calling them to a deeper relationship, who have a sense that there is something missing in their life, or who believe they are being called to be a disciple of Jesus Christ through the Catholic Church.

OCIA is typically a year long process for those who are not baptized, those who belong to a different faith community, and for those who were baptized Catholic, but have not practiced their faith since childhood. It begins with inquiring into who we are as Catholics and the teachings that have been handed down from Christ through his Apostles to this current age.

Throughout the process, there is discernment to determine if this is how God is calling you at this point in time. You are never under any obligation to join the Catholic Church. Everyone is welcome to inquire into the process.

Take the First Step

You don’t need to have all the answers to begin. OCIA is a place to ask questions, explore the Catholic faith, and discover where God may be leading you.

Whether you are just curious, returning after time away, or feeling a deeper call, you are welcome to come and see. There is no pressure or expectation—only an invitation to grow, learn, and encounter Christ.

You Are Welcome

If you believe God may be calling you to a deeper relationship, or if you simply want to learn more, you are welcome to begin the conversation.
